Biography

- Born in Rome, he dedicated himself for many years to the study of all percussion instruments qualifying in the sector with multiple professional experiences.

In particular he enriched his experience and his musical studies with the knowledge of numerous instruments of African American culture.

- He completed his musical studies at the "A. Casella" Conservatory in L'Aquila.

- He boasts important collaborations in the field of Latin American music, including percussionist Ray Mantilla, percussionist Lionel Hampton, Brazilian guitarist Toquinho, saxophonist Brazilian Sergio Galvao, percussionist Luis Agudo, Brazilian guitarist Toninho Horta, the Brazilian drummer Robertinho Silva, Brazilian saxophonist Daniela Spielmann, guitarist Brazilian Guinga, the Brazilian pianist Christianne Neves, the Brazilian pianist Joao Donato, the Brazilian pianist/accordionist Antonio Guerra, the Brazilian guitarist Irio De Paula with the who has collaborated steadily in his "Samba Jazz trio" for more than 12 years, performing in events and important jazz festivals. In the field of pop music he has achieved
acclaim and recognition by collaborating with the most important names in Italian music including: Ornella Vanoni, Gino Paoli, Renato Carosone, Gianni Morandi, Umberto Bindi, Fred Bongusto, Renzo Arbore, Grazia Di Michele, Peppino Di Capri, Nini Rosso.

- He has been teaching in Rome at the Roman Academy of Music since 1991. He was director of the percussion faculty at the University of Music in Rome. He was a teacher of percussion and drums from 2002 to 2011, at the "Salvini Azzarita" educational institute in Rome,
as part of the arts and entertainment project in high schools. He conceived and established it in 1991 collaboration with the Roman Academy of Music, the “Stefano Rossini Percussion School Rome”, which is a historical school in Rome and Italy, has trained most of the enthusiasts of this kind and disseminated Afro-Brazilian culture in Italy. It is the first collective school of
Cajon, one of the most widespread percussion instruments, and is also the first school in Rome to use “Body Percussion” techniques and combinations, at the service of ensemble music.

-He has held workshops and masterclasses in various Italian conservatories and music schools: Conservatory of Music Luigi Canepa of Sassari, G. B. Pergolesi Conservatory of Jesi, Tito Conservatory Schipa of Lecce, Umberto Giordano Conservatory of Foggia, Licinio Refice Conservatory of Frosinone, Locomotive Percussion Academy Association of Lecce, Ars Musica Musical Institute
Chiaravalle, Jaco di Foggia Social and Cultural Promotion Association, Conservatory Ottorino Respighi of Latina, Conservatory of Rodi Garganico branch of the Conservatory U. Giordano of Foggia.
In 2017/2018, he took a course on Brazilian rhythms and percussion at the Embassy Brazilian from Rome.

-Since 2001, he has conceived and created a music seminar at the Accademia Romana di Musica Brazilian popular recognized by the Ministry of Education as a course professional improvement and updating for eight consecutive years.
 
- He participated, as a teacher, in "Etnie” 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006", Internship International on the popular traditions of Italy, Africa, Spain, Latin America and of the Arab world.

-He is the founder and creator of the instrumental group "Batuque Percussion", born from the idea of disseminating and spread, through musical customization, Afro-Brazilian music. He has released three CDs “Stefano Rossini Batuque Percussion”, “Stefano Rossini Batuque Percussion 2” and “Stefano Rossini Batuque Percussion 3” 2004, 2010 and 2020 obtaining
recognition and acclaim from critics and the public. The first CD was made by alone and dedicated entirely to the rhythms and percussions typical of this culture, a record that is the result of an experience of many years. The second CD was made with various "special guests", including participation of the “Kiev String Orchestra” string orchestra and of the guitarist Irio De Paula and of
son Robertinho De Paula, the third had prestigious names on the scene as "guests". International (Sergio Galvao on sax, Luis Agudo on percussion, Natalino Marchetti on accordion and the extraordinary 40-piece Concertissimo String Orchestra.
 
-He has participated in numerous television and radio programs on the RAI and Mediaset networks, among others of which: "Ciao Weekend" broadcast on Raidue, hosted by Giancarlo Magalli and Heather Parisi for the entire 1991/92 season, "Tu vo fa l'americano" broadcast on 12.1.95 recorded by the Theater Mercadante of Naples, which celebrated the 75th birthday of Maestro Renato Carosone, "Domenica In" Raiuno hosted by Mara Venier, "Uno Mattina" Raiuno, "In Famiglia" Raidue, "Gelato al lemon" Raiuno, "A dog's life hosted by Jocelyn on Raidue, "An Italian Christmas" broadcast on Canale 5, "Re del night" radio broadcast hosted by Sergio Bardotti and Sergio Endrigo on Radio Uno."Brasil" broadcast on RadioUno Rai, hosted by Max de Tomassi.
 
 
-He is co-leader of the trio "Itinerario Brasile", a unique trio in the "Brasilian jazz" genre, a work with which he created 2 CDs entitled “Esperanto”, 1998 and “Itinerario Brasile”, 2005 which received unanimous acclaim from critics.
 
-He is co-leader of the Choro Orchestra, the first Italian choro orchestra established with the aim of disseminate and spread the musical style of the great masters of Brazilian choro.
With the Orchestra he created the CD in 2013: Choro Orchestra "the great Brazilian popular music" with the extraordinary participation of two great Brazilian artists of the genre: Reco do Bandolim and Daniela Spielmann.
 
- He is a consultant for the construction of percussion instruments for the leading company UFIP in the sector in Italy.
He collaborates with companies that build Brazilian instruments such as Contemporanea and Gope. He also had experience in the dubbing sector working for "Video 2 S.r.l." as a noisemaker.
